MySpace New CEO: Social Network’s Uphill Battle

Posted in : News

(added last year!)

Recently we have brought you the news that MySpace and Facebook were having a mashup where the Facebook connect button had been added across the MySpace website. To me that was when MySpace officially gave up. MySpace went from being somewhere that discovers up and coming musicians to under the umbrella of Social Entertainment Hub.

So what is going on at MySpace? Well they have a new CEO as Jason Hirschhorn departed the company in the summer. Mark Jones has now been put into the driver’s seat as the CEO of a struggling social networking site. Hopefully Mark has some ideas to help dig MySpace out of the hole it is in.

Jones will have the responsibility of direction and strategy of MySpace. He is an internally recognized technologist with as many as 14 years experience in marketing, business management and what MySpace needs most, product development. You can read more about the recent announcement by clicking here.
